  2. Skin: everyone has a different skin type. Some possess dry skin, whereas some can sweat easily. This can play a huge role as it determines whether you will stick or slide when pole dancing. It is important not to apply any body lotion before pole dancing. The lotion will make you slip as it contains extra oil. People who tend to sweat a lot can opt for grip aids, as it will help stick to the pole easily.
  3. Cleanliness: when we use grip aids, it can leave residue in the pole. However, many people prefer it as it helps them get a grip. But some prefer a clean pole. Use a microfiber cloth and an alcohol-based cleaner to wipe the pole clean before dancing.

 What should I wear?

 To get the best grip, instructors would suggest bare skin, which means wearing shorts. But for those who just started, can choose to wear a tank top and Capri or yoga pants.
